Ryan

The kids just being funny!

Michael got to bring home Ryan the class "pet". He has to take him wherever we go this weekend then write about what they did and tell the class. Let me tell you he is super happy to have Ryan. We even took pictures to put in Ryan's book. On a side note, the nap mats that Michael used as a sled are behind me in the picture. They are the red and gray things in the Rubbermaid tote. :o)

Another video from Colorado

This is another video from me driving through the Rockies. This one is pretty cool but it kind of messes with you a little. This video I took looking out the front windshield so you can see what I had to drive through. This was a calm area that is on the video. There were some areas that I drove through that scared the heck out of my sister. I of course had TOTAL control the whole time but what are big sisters for if they can't have a little fun at their sister's expense??

On a side note Michael did something interesting yesterday. We have these mats that the children I babysit take naps on. They are about 4 ft long and probably 2 ft across and about 3 inches or so thick. I saw Michael carrying a couple up the stairs but thought nothing of it because he uses them to make forts with in his bedroom. Well no forts today...he thought it would be a better idea to RIDE ONE DOWN THE STAIRS!! All I hear is clunk, clunk, whoosh and then I see him do like a somersault off the steps. He shakes it off and says, "That was SO COOL!" After I made sure he was okay I told him to never do that again. Oh my goodness I thought my heart stopped. He of course saw NO problem with any of this and even had a second mat up at the top of the steps to do it again. The whole time I am talking to him he's piercing his little lips together to not laugh at me. I tell you I don't think I am going to make it through him growing up. He is ALL boy! On a good note Michael is now able to read 53 pages of his "Dick and Jane" book. We read almost every night and he is VERY proud of himself.

Driving in the Rockies - Colorado

This is a video I took while I was driving in the Rocky Mountains. It is so beautiful there. The air is amazing! It is very crisp! I just wanted to stay and BREATHE! Denver is a lot like Cleveland. It was okay....But Estes Park, Colorado was wonderful. It's a very nice small town with lots of character!! It's at the base of the Rocky Mountains. We toured the Stanley Hotel which Steven King stayed at and got his inspiration for "The Shining". The hotel was amazing. Everything about Estes Park and the Rockies I LOVED!!! I want Mike and I to go back. I know he would love it! If you ever get the chance to go...GO!

Colorado

These are some shots from my trip to Colorado. I am going to try and get a video up tomorrow.

Beth and me !

If you look in the background to the left you can see the elk that were all over the place.

This rock looked A LOT easier to climb than it actually was...

Sorry the other video was so dark. It wasn't quite that dark on my computer. Oh well. This is one the kids wanted to make. This one you can see. I forgot to put on here that my sister is taking me to Colorado this weekend for my birthday. Yay! We are going to tour the Stanley hotel (where part of The Shining was filmed) and get matching tattoos while we are there. I am looking forward to it but a little apprehensive about leaving the kids. I haven't been anywhere since I got married without either the kids or Mike. So hopefully I won't get homesick. :o)

Happy 30th Birthday April!!

We had a dance party at 8:00 this morning to celebrate my birthday! The lights are off in the video because we had to turn the disco light on. So the videos are dark but good.

I'm going to get one more video up when I get a chance... It's party day at my house so I must "entertain" my guests! Have a good one!
