Strawberry Picking

I took all the kids (Michael and the ones I babysit) strawberry picking today. Taylor went to the pool with one of her friends. The boys did really well! The two girls didn't do so hot. They got sooo tired! :o) We got some awesome strawberries!

Camping

A blurry pic but it's the boys in their head lights around the campfire.
Happy Birthday Michael!

Sparkler time!

We went camping over the weekend with some friends. We have gone together every year since Tay was in 1st grade. The family we go with has a daughter in the same grade as Tay and a son in the same grade as Michael. So everyone has someone to play with! It rained on us a little Saturday late afternoon but other than that it was beautiful weather. I took all 4 kids up to the playground on Friday and there were a few BIG kids playing tag and running all over the playground and jungle gym. Well as you can see by the picture of Michael with his birthday cake he got hit. This kid (my size) basically plowed Michael over. I saw Michael fly through the air and in the process he took another kid out. I haven't moved so fast in a long time. I ran over and picked him up and proceeded to verbally annihilate the kid that pummeled my son. I just saw RED! What killed me was that this kid's mom was there and saw the whole thing. If it wasn't for the fact that Michael was in pain and I had 3 other children to take back to the campsite besides him it would've been a lot uglier. (For those of you who know me I'm sure you can imagine!) We went back to the playground the next day and the same kids were there again. But funny thing was that as soon as I sat down on the bench they all left. I wonder why??? :O)
But even with all of that we did have a good time.

Happy Birthday Michael!

Michael and two of his best buds!

All of the party kids!

Michael turned 5 on Thursday! He had a little friend party here at the house during the day. He passed out the army favor bags that the recruiter gave him. They were filled with goodies and the kids loved them! He requested an army tank for a birthday cake so I did my best. Thankfully he approved! :o)

Indian's Game

Michael after the 6th inning. We had great seats. We were 2 rows behind the Yankees dugout.

Like his hat? I got it from an airforce recruiter for him. He LOVES it! He says he's going to be a fighter pilot when he grows up.

We went to the Indian's game on Sunday. It was kid fun day. They had face painting, bouncy houses, huge blow up slides, free baseball cards and hats and jungle terry was there with all of his animals. There were two humongous snakes just crawling around in front of the stadium. They felt really cool. I finally got Michael to touch one after "Slider" did. We all had a great time. Michael, being his father's son, was able to sleep from the 6th inning until the middle of the 9th. He even slept through the 7th inning stretch. Amazing!
